The Riders Prayer
January 21st, 2008 | Written by The Rev | Topic: ScriptureOur Father which rides in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name,
Thy mountains come,
Thy will be rode, in The Big Ring as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily mileage,
And forgive us our drafting, as we forgive those who draft against us.
And lead us not into a field sprint,
but deliver a solo win.
For primes, the flowers and jerseys are yours,
For ever and ever.
Amen

HAHAHAHA! Holy shit! I think I’ve just converted to The Church Of The Big Ring! Amen brother. May the Big Ring be with you.

As we forgive those who draft against us…
I rather enjoy pulling for my mates, and delivering them into the bunch sprint with a fresh set of legs, and of course, in the Big Ring.

Brother Ftrain,
Sacrificing oneself for a chosen leader is a selfless act that is worthy of praise. Those who draft against us are the vermin who sit on claiming fatigue or hunger only to rise like Lazarus in sight of the finish line.
Ride On,
The Rev
