Bad Joke

When I wrote the post “A Tour of Californee” I was pretty sure anyone who actually watched that stage would take it as intended, with extreme sarcasm (which does not play out well in print). Brother Creed showed some huge stones on Stage 7 of ATOC. Sorry Mike no ill intent was meant. If anyone can get me his mailing address email me at revbigring@gmail.com , if he will wear it I will send him an official Church of The Big Ring shirt.
A few years back at the High Uintas Classic Road Race (it goes over a 10000 ft pass) I was in a chase group with him. He was probably about 12 years old and weighed less than his bike (there is that sarcasm again). The whole time I was thinking “Who is this kid?”. We did not catch the break (barely), but did finish 4 minutes in front of the peleton. 3 of those minutes were probably from the work he did. Well, it has been pretty awesome to see him develop over the years and tell people that story.

Print or not some of us do get the sarcasm. Please don’t lose it, it is my favorite thing about the sermons. Had I got this much sarcasm in my previous religion I may never have converted.
