Seriously though, Cancellara was just flat out awesome. After seeing what he did through the same stretch in the RR, was there any doubt he’d demolish that last section?

“This has been the focus for so long,” said Cancellara, who clocked a 1:02:11 over the 47.3km course. “I told myself that going home without the gold is a failure. I’ve prepared specifically for this race and made a lot of sacrifices. I’m here at the Olympics and you see a Swiss flag, you hear the anthem. What more do you want?”

At least Z barfed from trying. And, forget not Rev, Levi snagged a bronze in the TT training on Wasatch dirt. The Bird and Sky say that the fella is just plain down for the dirt! Hoots and Hollers and runs fatty tires too. I will forgive you for your lame opining if you will throw a little luck the way of the Bird and El Jefe this week. What an opportunity for the locals to shine against a stacked field! Come on Rev, some Fire and Brimstone YO!
