I am just stoked that the move put the brothers in 2nd and 3rd. It was a stupid move on behalf of Astana, but if you are cheering for Saxo-Bank it was beautiful. Also I really dont think AC cares anymore about any of his teammates or what Johan tells him to do. They have not shown much love to AC from the start. When Lance was under Johan back in the day the entire team was forced to be behind him 100% all the time. I think AC felt like he deserved the same respect and didnt get it. Lets be honest, dude won all 3 grand tours within a one year timespan and was still not the "leader". I think Lance is going to be real jealous when AC breaks his tour record and has a few other grand tours under his belt. I also am enjoying the Columbia-Garmin rivalry, makes a good soap opera. Also can anyone get more excited about corking a stage win than Astorloza did the other day. Dude had rainbows coming out of his ass at the finish line!

Not only was he a douche bag, it made no tactical sense. The idea was to distance wiggins, and sweep the podium if possible. AS, was the only threat, and AC wasn't going to get time on him. What contador did was just stupid.

Rev, I couldn't agree more. I was briefly engaged with a debate over this with @fredcast on twitter. The crux over the debate was this: is Contador worthy of admiration and praise simply for being the strongest? Is he doing what is necessary to win? Should he be admired because he is succeeding even though he has had to earn the leadership role? I think the answer to all these questions came all at once when he ditched Kloden. I think the answer is simple. You can root for the guy who is not the strongest because he has admirable qualities, Contador lacks any. At least, we haven't seen any yet. It's still a long way to Paris.
