Shit Storm

Todays title describes the weather here in the 801 and also today’s stage at the Giro. Yesterday was just about perfect here. I spent most of the day in bed with a sore throat and not able to breath out of my nose, at least today’s weather matches how I feel. For whatever reason i have been having a hell of a time getting this season to feel like it is really rolling for me. Ah, the best is yet to come.
On to the Giro. It seems Tyler Farrar has had enough of the lowers steps on the podium and took a step up. On its own that is huge. To do it after hitting the deck late in the stage raises the level of badassery (its a word, trust me) to Iggy Pop levels. The Garmin train looked like this should be a regular occurrence going froward. Lets hope so.
Now on to the bad. Vande Velde needs to go see a Shaman or something. For real, there is some bad mojo hanging over that guy. All those watts on the sideline again, what a shame. On the plus side for Garmin, Robert Millar is only 1 second out of taking the maglia rosa from Vino. As for Vino I guess one has to assume he is as clean as anyone now. After winning LBL you would have to think he was tested up down and sideways but I still think he is a classless jerk
* on the Maglia Rosa today…
