Winter the 801 we get these god awful thermal inversions. The Salt Lake Valley becomes and toxic dump of air you can see. Yesterday I went on the local group ride and spent the evening hacking out the sludge I had spent 4 hours inhaling. No cool. Today I got invited to head up the the clear air of Park City for some snow riding.

If you find your self in Park City for a ski trip and you have a day between storms then I would highly recommend heading over to White Pine Touring to let Johnny hook you up with a rental and go rip some frozen trail. There is a whole network of XC Ski trail groomed by the city (how cool is that?) to rip around on, plus a lot of sweet single track in the for of walking trails. The single track is killer and will do wonders for your skills. If your front wheel drifts off line at all then it is a quick trip over the bars into the powder for you. Any way it sure beats the hell out of riding the trainer.
