I know I said I was not gonna talk about dopers but this whole Vino situation has really got under my skin. It seems that the new “clean” version of Vino is also a thin skinned crying pussy version of the former Kasakh hard ass. The new Vino seems utterly perplexed by questions about his past and if his latest win is legit. Did you really think we would forget that you stole and cheated victories? You are a doper. Every win prior to 2007 is suspect and every win going forward will be questioned. Get use to it or hit the talk show circuit with Richard Simmons and you can cry your eyes out to Oprah.

Anyway in non doper news Tour of the Gila has gotta be the biggest collection of bad asses in the US other that the Tour of Californication. Super stoked to see 801 homeboy Burke Swindlehurst be in the mix with all the Pro Tour guys. This is his 16th Gila, damn Sweet 16. That is a lot of years of climbing and wattage. This season Burke has turned his back on the comfort and support of a big team to take control of his own destiny with support from Team Give and Blackbottoms. Going toe to toe solo against the likes of DZ Nuts(Garmin), Mellow Johnnys(The Shack), and his fromer employer is not a task for the timid. Good thing timid is not a word anyone would use to describe T-Bird. Fly T-Bird, Fly!
