Things I am Thankful For
Categories: Scripture
The Spring Classics: In the USA le Tour gets all the glory but for me the best week of the year is in April. Flanders, Ghent Wevelgem and Paris Roubaix are the purest most dramatic races of the calendar. No sitting in waiting for the TT. To win here you need a bit of luck, a lot of strength and no fear. The hard men of the North lay it all on the line. A win here and your name is spoken in the same breath as the gods, Merckx, Planckaert, Kelly. Amen
Mastic One: There are other glues but Mastic is the one that keeps my tubbies rolling straight and (sometimes) fast.
Massage/Body Work: Nothing makes me feel more PRO than getting some good deep body work. I am lucky to have one of the best massage therapists anywhere as my g/f. When the real pro’s are in town they go to Rachel cuz they know the power of a great massage. If you live in the 801 you need to give her a call, seriously. Greg Freebairn and the entire crew at Back In Motion Chiropractic are the ones who have kept my normally weak back strong. Greg is a bad ass on the bike himself and really understands how a cyclist body works. If you have any issues with you back no matter how small give him a call @ (801) 553-0366, he will unlock the watts.
Team Big Ring: At the start of the year Mike Kracht and me started talking about getting a few kits made and calling ourselves a team. Well a few has grown to 21, RealCyclist.com is our title sponsor, we are leading the UTCX team point series and I have gotten to race with and get to know a really amazing group of people. Thanks to all involved I am proud to call you all my friends and team mates. 2010 is going to be even better!
Mad Alchemy: I love embrocation and I have used everything on the market. It makes me feel and look so pro. The smell and the ritual of application is as much a part of cross racing for me as mud and tubulars. The Mad Alchemy stuff is soooo good I don’t know what I would do if the ever went away. I am not affiliated with them in any way and I gladly pay retail for their stuff. Go buy some today.

Can I get an amen to the northern classics! Three week tours are pretty, who wants pretty? We want dirty muddy worked over racers. Right?
Congratulations on the success of the team, hopefully you guys finish the season with a couple more W’s and a good showing in Bend.
Chris
awww….you are the best
Amen, Brother Rev., and I will gladly throw my my dittoes behind Rachel for massage and Greg for chiropractic work.
