In CA, my fields generally fill up about a week before a good race, so if I want to do the race, i have to register online and pay the effing fee. Or, I call/ email the promoter and try to send a check via mail with some lengthy diatribe about how I hate supporting active.com. Itsa bummer... Yeah, boo on active.com.
