Mike Kracht has accepted the Big Ring as his saviour. “Go Big, or go home,” he says. Originally from the striving mid-west metropolis Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Mike has been living in Park City, Utah for several years now where he claims to lots of stuff, “mostly legal”.
Among a multitude of bikes, Mike has three awesome dogs, Nash, Kline, Schmopalopagus, and a cat named Jerry.
As a kid, Mike raced BMX and in college started mountain biking. He’s been racing ‘cross for a few years and has recently started road racing. He loves he freedom, history and culture that cycling is all about. And, he loves the suffering.
Through a lot of hard work, focus, and luck, Mike has won the Utah State B Cyclocross Championship. He beat Tinker Juarez in the first stage of the e100 although he believes that Tinker may have gotten lost.
Aside from cycling Mike loves to play guitar and spend time with his incredible dogs. He is also on a lifelong journey to find the ultimate beer. He likes to listen to John Mayall, Bon Iver, and has been known to suffer on training rides listening to Phontaine.
An integral part of the team, Mike is super psyched to be riding among some of his Church of the Big Ring mentors.
