Tim AZ has confessed by tongue that The Church Of The Big Ring is his savior. In the book of Eddy chapter 53 verse 11. God say’s ” For Eddy so loved the world of cycling that he gave his one and only big ring, that whoever believes in it shall not perish but have an eternal life of cycling in the big ring”. He is a devoted follower.
Tim was born and raised in Arizona. Snowboarding took over his life in the early 90′s and he had to “peace out”. He has been in Park City now going on 9 years. Tim makes a living slinging luggage and parking cars at the Grand Summit Hotel at The Canyons Ski Area.
He’s got two crazy Abyssinian cats that were adopted from Furburbia. They are brothers and look nothing alike. Always raising some kind of ruckus.
Tim started bike racing in Arizona at the Chandler A.B.A. BMX track in 1984. He raced BMX until about 1991. His love of cycling has many facets. He is into bikes of all sorts. Tim started racing on the road this past summer in hopes of getting stronger for the cyclocross racing. His first cyclocross race was on Oct 11th, 2008 and he was hooked from the start.
Tim was the Arizona 12 year old state BMX champ and is super stoked about his win at the UT CX, 2009 race #1 in his catergory. Maybe all the road miles will pay off.
Aside from cycling Tim’s favorite pastimes are Skateboarding and Snowboarding.
Asked what’s on his Ipod,Tim said, “Mostly mid to late 80′s hardcore and late 70′s Punk. Old and good Metallica, Slayer, Iron Maiden. The Smiths/ Morrissey as a religion.”
